Executive Summary

Carlos Braga started his roof decking business, Metalcom, in 1998. His inspiration to develop Roof Lock stemmed from witnessing people negligently put themselves in dangerous situations. 

Roof Lock was created to improve worker safety in high paced commercial construction environments. Workers often ignore safety protocols due to the time requirement and difficulty to set up traditional anchoring systems.

Mission Statement

The Roof Lock is designed to be a quick install, portable and lightweight fall arrest anchor that installs onto a structural steel joist through roof decking, causing minimal damage to the roof decking and requiring no repair.

Objective

Installation of fall arrest systems can be time consuming and complex. The Roof Lock is designed to attach quickly and easily therefore decreasing accidents and saving time.
